Around the world

Emma: Oh, I have seen your photographs in your Facebook profile! Have you recently travelled to Canada?

Patsy: Yes, of course! I was there two weeks ago and I had the opportunity to try one of the best food I have ever tasted in my life... the most delicious pancakes in the world!

Mum!

When I took my year off, I decided to visit Greece on my own. I left my house and my family in Spain and I took the first flight to Athens without any accomodation in order to survive by myself.

When I was a couple of days there, I started to miss my family, my neighborhood, my friends...but I have to be strong and forgot those ideas.
So, one day while I was sitting on one of the beaches of Santorini Island I look to the horizon, and then I realize that my life was starting to finish...

THE END

Manolos...

Some months ago the police found a drug stash in Barajas airport. Probably the luggage which contains the substance came from Colombia. The cocaine was camouflaged in the heels of a very famous shoe´s brand: Manolo Blanik.

Personally, I don´t know how drugs smugglers could be so creative in order to hide the drug into the heels of the shoes; but if the are so creative people...why don´t they decide to be fashion designers, artist or architects? Their job would be more decent and they would probably have much more friends!

I have found the answer. Currently, the crisis is causing unemployment.
There is crisis for engineers, teachers, doctors and traders...but not for smugglers.

Ex-Homeless

Although I've been off the streets for 3 years now, I'm struggling to meet my day to day needs.
Keeping food in the cupboard is the hardest one.

GENESIS

Bangkok. In July. It's raining. Again.
- Why do I have this urge to find some high ground, build a boat and fill it with animals?
- Shut up Noah! Hold on to the roof or we'll drag by the stream!

Job Lead

Someone has informed me of a job lead for which I am well qualified.
It's a temporary job, 3 months long, but it is full time and will get me back in the swing.
I am more than ready to get back inte  the work force. But I'm sure everyone else is too.

Chapeaux

The first time I saw them, I tried to imagine their suffering, the acid on their face, destroying their beauty, their hopes. I can’t believe that after all that pain, today I have seen them smiling.

The newspaper boy

Although it was cold, snowing or raining, he always gave me the newspaper with a wide smile. Today you weren’t there. I miss your smile. I hope you’re not one of the 5 millions of unemployed...

Beauty and the Beast

After years of suffering, Beauty starts winning the Beast.

Corazón galego (Galician Heart)

Tired of being with my parents! Tired of their rules! Tired of doing what is correct!
Tired of my brother! Fed up with his jokes, fed up with his mess everywhere, tired of having to share everything with him… TIRED!

And finally, I’m going away, with the excuse of improving my level of English, to meet new
people, other cultures…

I’m here! I’ve done it! Everything is pink! I can talk perfectly in English, I have met lots of people from different cultures and I live alone, without anyone that could annoy me.

Tiding up the house, I have found a picture of my parents and my brother.
Suddenly everything is clouded around me, it starts to rain, my heart shrinks, and the only words I can pronounce are; Ai a miña terra!

Bye bye, mum!

A: It´s your time, son!
B: Are you sure, mum? It sounds like a joke more than a real fact. You have been preparing me for this moment since I was a little kid.
A: Yeah! I know! That was my intention!
B: Excellent then. Everything is understood.
A: Really?
B: Of course, mum. Here is your luggage. I´ve been packing it up for months. It´s your turn to leave home and let me live my life. Good luck!

Oh Canada!

New experience. Red and white. Information, colours, cards, photographs. Enjoying our time just trying to make it work what is a success abroad.  An approach to other continents. An approach to other cultures. An approach to a new way of doing things. An approach to our classmates. Share and create. The main values of the international fair.

55 killers´ thought

Sunday evening. Having a walk. She just deserved her death. She was constantly making me feel bad. She didn´t have the dinner on time and I have to wait for more than 10 minutes everyday. She used to wear those tight trousers. Other men looked at her. That´s why I had to punish her. It´s obvious. She was mine. I can do whatever I want with her. She was my property. Why did she start shouting at me? What did she expect? I had to kill her. I´m going to call the police. I´m sure they will understand me.

Monotony

Tic-tac. Another shout. Tic-tac. Another push. Tic-tac. Another injury. Tic-tac. Another bruise. Tic-tac. Another arm broken. Tic-tac. Another murder. Tic-tac. Another victim. Tic-tac. One woman less.
Don´t let women´s murders be as monotonous as the sound of a clock.
